PetWORKs Odeco Chan and Nikki Cat Dolls

PetWORKs is a Japanese brand that was established as a software company in 1998. They now have 3 separate divisions, PetWORKs Software Division, PetWORKs Doll Division and PetWORKs Aviation Division. The ‘Doll Division’ was set up in 2001. Their debut doll was called ‘Momoko’. Since then they have grown their doll range and now have many types including:

Odeco-chan and Nikki

Odeco and Nikki are two dolls that are best friends. They are both 20cm tall, have the same body but different heads. Odeco-Chan is the little person and Nikki is a cat. Often they are released in pairs, so there is a matching set of Odeco and Nikki. Most Odeco-chan dolls are girls but there have been some special release boy dolls. Each release comes with a cute card featuring an illustration and sometimes a little comic strip and simple clothes pattern.

They mostly come with an outfit and a pair of shoes. There are newer released dolls that are sold naked without clothes, shoes or a wig. This is so that you can mix and match your dolls. PetWORKs has also released wigs and shoes which were sold separately so you can change them to your liking. They are about the same height as a Middie Blythe doll and will fit some looser Middie Blythe clothes.

The Odeco dolls mostly have a bald head with a plastic capped wig. However there are a couple that were released with rooted hair. Most Nikki dolls have no hair, but there have been some special releases with a small amount of rooted hair. Nikki the cat also has a tail that rotates and can act as a stand when they are sitting down.

Their arms, legs and head are movable at their sockets but don’t have bendable limbs. they do stand ok when they are wearing shoes. Mostly both Odeco and Nikki have eyes that move and are open when they are upright and closed when they are lying down. They also have eyelashes that are attached to the eyes and move with them. However there are a few that only have fixed eyes that don’t move. The back of the heads can be removed by holding onto the back of the head and twisting it. You can also remove the eyes and change them, however this is a little tricky.

Odeko-chan and Nikki are dress-up dolls of about 20 cm. Odeko is a girl and Nikki is a cat. Nikki says that Odeko-chan is “blurred!” Nikki is “a little selfish …”, says Odeko-chan. However, when I look at them, they are always very close to each other.

Odette Doll

Odette is a fairly new doll. She has the same head as Odeco-chan except the eyes don’t move, they are more like BJD eyes. Odette is 24cm tall and her body is an Azone Pure Neemo Full Flection XS. You can also open up the back of her head and change the eyes like the Odeco dolls.

They are sold nude but you can purchase wigs for them (as Pictured) or they do also fit Odeco-chan wigs.
